Options for your Bikini Explained

There are quite a few options available to you when choosing your bikini but if you've never competed before or have only experienced one type of bikini, how would you know? This is exactly what this page is about. So here we go...

Neck Tie

Neck Ties

Neck ties are two straps that go around your neck and you simply tie them in a bow.

Each time you wear the bikini, you'll need to tie them so this can vary the fit each time.

Adjustable Neck Strap

This is where you'll have one strap that goes from boob to boob around the back of your neck. You'll wear it by placing the neck strap over your head and you can change the length with the slider. This is a great option for less faff, consistent wearing and a cleaner back.

Adjustable Neck Strap with buckle

This takes the adjustable neck and adds a buckle so you don't have to put the straps over your head. The combination of this gives you complete flexibility with the assurance that once you've got the fitting right, it stays.

Brief Connectors

Fabric

Fabric knickers are strongly recommended for all figure suits and are also an option for bikini and wellness suits as opposed to a metal / diamante connector.

Fabric knickers are a better option for figure suits because they need the stability to hold the two pieces of the suit together. There is a vulnerability with metal connectors that mean they are more likely to shift/snap when used in a figure suit throughout the routines.

Adjustable Knickers

This is where a slider is placed at the side of the knicker which gives you an extra couple of inches in the knicker. This is a great option for bikini, wellness and figure suits as it means you can use throughout your off season and in prep.

The benefit is that they are stronger than a connector knicker and they also have a piece of silicon elastic so they stay exactly where you want them.

Connectors

Metal and diamante connectors are most commonly used in bikini and wellness stage suits to bring extra bling, as well as creating the illusion of a smaller waist.

The downside of having connectors is that it makes suit more fragile in that area. To counteract this, all connectors have an extra piece behind it to strengthen them.

There are so many to choose from so it allows you to be express your flair for design!

Bra options

Fabric Triangle - no padding

Fabric triangle tops without padding are a great option for those competitors who either have breast implants or large boobs.

They can also be gemmed an offer a great fit for all types of boob.

If you're concerned about a nip-slip, this would give you the most security in the fit as it will mould to your boob shape.

Fabric Triangle - Padded

This is the same fabric triangle top but has a pocket for additional padding so if want to have some help for a fuller look on stage (because we know the body fat goes off our boobs), this is a great choice.

I'd recommend this option for stage suits but wouldn't necessarily have this as a posing suit.

Moulded Bra

The moulded bra is where we take a bra cup and the fabric is sewn directly onto it. If you are having a stage suit that incorporates line work, then you will need to choose this option.

It suits both non-implant and implant boobs, wellness/bikini and figure classes.

Each moulded bra top has a pocket to allow for additional padding if desired.

Back Strap Options

Bikini / Wellness - back ties

I'd recommend this option for stage suits but wouldn't necessarily have this as a posing suit.

Figure - fabric straps, metal clasp

The moulded bra is where we take a bra cup and the fabric is sewn directly onto it. If you are having a stage suit that incorporates line work, then you will need to choose this option.

It suits both non-implant and implant boobs, wellness/bikini and figure classes.

Figure - Fabric Straps, Buckle

Fabric triangle tops without padding are a great option for those competitors who either have breast implants or large boobs.

They can also be gemmed an offer a great fit for all types of boob.

Fabric Straps - Clear Straps

This an option for clients who don't want any fabric at all on their back straps. They're recommended for only one use due to the tan staining so just bear that in mind when thinking about your order.
